The Institute was formed in 1982 in response to a demand by managers such as you for a professional body to look after their standing as professional managers across the broader public sector, including Government Agencies, Civil Service, Health Trusts, Housing Associations, Police Authorities and Charities as well as Local Government.
We already have a substantial membership and continue to grow raising the profile of its members. The Institute is already consulted by Government Departments on quality management issues as well as assisting Members in dealing with a wide range of enquiries. As a Member you will receive our own publication "Topics" four times a year which contains articles of interest to and news for Members.
IPSM provides a variety of forums by which managers can discuss subjects of mutual interest. We run a "Help Desk" where members can seek advice if they need it, and we also produce a variety of useful publications to help you in your professional life.
All members are entitled to use the designatory letters IPSM and to receive Topics four times a year. The highlight of our year is our Annual Conference or Seminar which goes from strength to strength.
